Cotswold League

​

The Club has played its last matches in the Cotswold League for this season in which our A Team finished 7th in Division 1 and the B Team finished 4th in Division 3.

​

League Captain Jeff Cooper thanks all involved in both teams for their efforts throughout the season.

Clarenace Davy Plate

​

The Men beat Page Park in the Semi-Final of the Clarence Davy Plate on Sunday 29th July securing a place in the final.

Pam Hulcoop Trophy

​

The Ladies beat G.B. Brittons in the Pam Hulcoop Trophy on Thursday 2nd August retaining the trophy for another year.

​

Captain Beryl said "Well done to all those who played and for all the support of the members who made this a successful afternoon."

Clarence Davy Plate

​

The men played the 2nd round of the Clarence Davy Plate competition on Monday 16th July in which Yate secured a victory over Portishead Bowling Club with a score of 84 - 67.

Ladies Interclub

​

The ladies won against Kingswood and Hanham in the Interclub Competition winning 38 - 37

​

Captain Beryl says "An excellent result for Yate, thanks to everyone who took part in the match and all members who helped on the morning."

 

The next round is to be played against Bradley Stoke with the date to be arranged.

Ladies Top Club Competition

​

Unfortunately the Ladies were beaten in the 3rd round of the Top Club Competition by Kingswood and Hanham 1- 3

​

Captain Beryl Waters wishes to convey her thanks to all the ladies who took part and congratuates them in getting to the 3rd round.

​

The Club would also like to thank the ladies for their efforts and wishes them best of luck for next year.

​

The ladies play Kingswood and Hanahm in the Interclub competition next week in which they are determined to beat them!

Sunday 9th June was our Mayor's Trophy Completition which the Mayor of Yate came and watched the members bowling before presenting the Trophy to the winners: our very own Club Captain Maureen Smale and Brian Williams! Well Done to you both!

May Bank Holiday is our Charity Match Day in which we play bowls while raising money for charity. This year we are supporting the fight against Prostate Cancer and managed to raise almost £900!
